Magnum sure likes it on that box in the hallway. I keep forgetting she's there and last night she actually scared me when I went into the bathroom for a cold drink.
Okay, okay...I admit it. I'm pretty darned cute but there's some times I like to just have some time to myself. Brenda the Human was bugging me the other day and I had to give her some ivory to get my point across. I do get cranky at times!
Here's a silly photo of Yogi in the yard with her tire. She really loves that toy because when the weather is nice The Humans can roll it across the yard and she'll chase after it as if it were on a vehicle. She's so funny sometimes!
Hey! I'm trying to catch a few winks here! Sometimes George the Human just annoys me with that camera of his. I'm just laying here...doing nothing...and here he is taking pictures of me! Go find the cat, willya?
Here's one of the places Yogi really likes to go. She's pretty old and sometimes she finds sleeping on the floor just a little uncomfortable. The Humans let us on the couch, so it's not uncommon to see Yogi sleeping there.
Sometimes George the Human forgets that while he's well over six feet tall, I'm not. I'm not even sure why he took this photo. Mind you, I never realized how pretty my spots looked until now!
For the longest time I've heard George the Human refer to Yogi as the 'little tire biter' and it wasn't until today that I figured out why! Here's a photo of her which explains it better than I could ever do.
George the Human showed me this photo he took yesterday of Magnum. I wish he had actually paid attention to the tricks I taught him in my Paws 'n' Claws Pet Photo Guide and maybe his hand wouldn't have gotten into the bottom of this shot!
I'm not sure, but that thing George the Human talks into a lot and holds near his ear just clicked at me. It sounded a lot like a camera. I'll have to keep an eye on it an alert the others when I figure it out.
Magnum used to just stay upstairs. Now that this little box thing is in the hallway she spends a lot of time sitting on it. I think it's because she thinks it makes her taller than me. I don't even see her there half the time as I'm not used to her being there yet, but one day I'll sneak up on her...
Here's Brenda the Human trying to get Yogi to take note of something just outside the yard. I think Yogi's starting to lose her hearing because both Humans have to yell at her to get her to hear them. I still hear them fine...so I wish they wouldn't yell when I'm in the same room. It makes me think they may be mad at me!
I found this photo of Yogi I just had to share! It's a shot of her after a very long day at the office. George the Human tells me that she spends her mornings at his office and has assumed the position of Official Greeter. Now I know where she is! I was wondering if she just went out in the morning and forgot how to get back in.
Dr. Mike sent me a photo of a critter he says he feeds and talks to frequently at his home. George The Human says it's a beaver. I've never seen one before and I live near the river. I think I'd probably bark at it for a while then run away if I ever saw one for real. Thanks, Dr. Mike!
In one of my lessons in the 'Paws 'n' Claws Pet Photo Guide' I teach that sometimes a toy or treat makes a pretty good prop to getting a good photo of your pet. Here's a bad example. This is Magnum the Cat just after George the Human gave her a catnip-filled toy to play with. Magnum got far too distracted to care about anything else!
I've heard some Humans say that us Dalmatians are pretty high strung and goofy. Here's a photo of me doing my job in the yard as a guard dog. The photo was taken just as I was assessing the situation and deciding whether or not to chase those birds off the fence, which I quickly did. Note that Yogi was relaxed knowing I was on duty.
This is the other Human, George. He's the guy who convinced me I could do the Frame Your Pets Program and helped me design the "Paws 'n' Claws Pet Photo Guide" and took care of all the computer work because I couldn't figure it out. He's married to Brenda, and 'owns' Magnum so I have to tolerate him.
This is a photo of one of the Humans. This is Brenda. She is the real 'alpha dog' in our house as I really pay far more attention to her than the other Human we live with. She also lets me curl up under the blankets with her!
This is Magnum the Cat. It's actually one of the few photos the Humans were able to take of her in what appears to be a very bad mood. Normally she doesn't come down the stairs unless she's in a good mood which means she doesn't normally mind the camera.
I found a pretty cool photo of Yogi to post here. As you can tell, she is a real poser! Sometimes all it takes is to see the camera and she's performing. Other times it's as easy as tossing her a toy and she'll just start to play to the camera. The only thing to watch out for is the flash. That spooks her.
I'm glad you came to visit my blog. Today the Human we call George is putting together some of the details so that you'll be able to read about me, Magnum the Cat and Yogi. The other Human, Brenda, will be around, too!
