There You Are!

I smell these furry things The Humans call marmots all over the yard these days. I hear them chirping at me every so often but I rarely get close enough to actually see one. I thought I could smell one around the centre of the yard the other day and George the Human says one was eating grass exactly where I was picking up that unusual scent. He says they spend quite a bit of time in the yard munching on the same grass I like to chew on every now and then. That has me worried as I think they are trespassing in my territory.

Where Is He?

I can smell those marmots all over the place. It's as if they were just here a minute ago. The scent is that fresh. And it appears as if there isn't a single place in the yard they haven't been. Although The Humans don't seem too bothered by them (they actually appear amused by the furry critters) I will have to take action if I am going to continue to guard this as my territory.

They Have Been Everywhere!

The Humans are right - those little furry things they call marmots have been all over the back yard. It's supposed to be my territory so I may have to put together a plan in order to reclaim my land. The Humans don't seem too concerned, though.

It's A What?

I saw a furry looking thing in the yard yesterday hiding under the wood pile. I noticed the same different scent I've picked up in the yard over there as well. Each time I get close to them they disappear and actually chirp at me. George the Human says it's something called a marmot and that there is a family of four of them in the yard this year. No wonder my nose was going crazy the other day when I was wandering around in the yard. I was smelling not one but a bunch of them!

Speaking Of Outside Smells...

Hmmm. I have noticed the past few days that I've been outside that I'm picking up a strange scent. I'm not really sure what it is. It doesn't smell anything like Magnum the Cat or the Humans so I need to figure out what I'm smelling and decide whether or not I need to protect the Humans. Must figure this out...

I Like Sunny Days!

After a long, cold winter it's sure been nice to be able to get outside and wander around the yard. I still wear my cone most days as I'm still recovering from having a hot spot on my leg I like to lick and chew but it's also nice to smell outside smells for a change.

Darn That Cat! - Part 2

Okay, okay. I get that Magnum the Cat wants to hang around me and be my friend. I think that's pretty cool. But does it have to be when I'm hungry and trying to get all my food down without interruption? I'll get used to it, but it's not easy considering I'm still not used to a cat being my friend.

Darn That Cat!

Magnum the Cat is starting to hang around my food dish. The other day she wouldn't leave me alone and I had to growl at her thinking that might scare her off. It didn't. Brenda the Human had to calm me down. I don't mind Magnum but getting near my food is a completely different circumstance altogether!

She's Everywhere!

Magnum the Cat is spending so much time with the rest of us these days that she seems to show up anywhere and everywhere! I'm getting used to it, but I think the Humans are still not quite used to finding her just about anywhere. She finds the stool where my food dish sits to be an interesting place at times, then in a few days she'll find somewhere else to be interesting. Must be boring to be a cat.

I Guess That's Why It's Called A Cat Nap

I don't get Magnum the Cat sometimes. I understand she's a lot smaller than me and that means she can get into a lot different kinds of places than I can, but I don't get the places she picks to sleep or take a nap. Maybe that's why they call them cat naps because only cats can do them that way.
